Holi: India's Festival of Colour happened on 9th March and we celebrated again this year across all of our centres!
Holi is the most vibrant of all Hindu festivals. It marks the end of winter in India and welcomes the spring season. On this festive day, people play with colours, meet and greet one another and create new beginnings.

In February, we celebrated Shrove Tuesday!
The other name for this day, Pancake Day, comes from the old English custom of using up ingredients in the house before Lent, so that people were ready to fast.
A very simple recipe to use up milk and eggs was to combine them with some flour and make pancakes! Check out this easy recipe below.
• 1 cup self-raising flour (sifted)
• 1 tbs sugar
• 1 egg (lightly beaten)
• 3/4 cup milk
• 50 g butter (melted)
In a bowl, whisk flour and sugar. Beat in the egg and then milk a little at a time until batter is smooth. Pour 1/4 cup measures for each pancake into a hot pan. Large bubbles form on the surface, flip the pancake over and cook until lightly golden on the other side.
Yum!
Over the past couple of months, each of our centres has been hosting fundraising activities to assist in the bushfire relief efforts!
Our Dianella centre is selling homemade cupcakes, playdough and babies artwork.
It’s up to us – as small businesses and as families – to do our part.
Thank you to each and every one of you who donated towards this important cause.
Happy Lunar New Year to all those celebrating. The festival began on January 25th, marking the first new moon of the lunar calendar.
We marked the occasion with a range of activities across our centres this week. See https://www.facebook.com/KidzBizPerth/photos/a.191004257670761/2443081722462992/?type=3&theater for more!
On February 6th, we celebrated Waitangi Day!
Waitangi Day is the national day of New Zealand, and commemorates the signing, on 6 February 1840, of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Stay tuned for some pics from the day.
Good news!

This year, our Beaumaris centre ran its first ever split room as part of our School Readiness Program.
School readiness has become increasingly important as educational expectations continue to rise. It is our belief that a comprehensive and holistic Kindergarten program is an essential part of a child’s learning experience and essential when transitioning to school.
We were overwhelmed with emotion at our recent graduation ceremony for our Beaumaris children!
It was such a beautiful day spent celebrating the achievements of our 2019 crew. We couldn’t be prouder of this group and wish them all the best for their next step!
